# Cookie Policy

## At a glance

- Emily Booking's own pages **do not set advertising or tracking cookies**.
- We store only what is **needed for features you use**: your language choice and, in the staff app, your login session. This needs no consent.
- **Analytics is off unless you agree.** If we switch on website analytics, it runs only after you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and the whole website still works.
- You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

## 1. About this policy

This policy covers the Emily Booking website, the registration page, the staff app and booking pages powered by Emily Booking. Pages of other companies that we link to have their own policies. A business's own website (for example where its booking page is embedded) is that business's responsibility, including its cookies.

## 2. What cookies and similar technologies are

**Cookies** are small text files that a website stores in your browser. **Similar technologies** include local storage and session storage (data a website keeps in your browser), scripts, pixels and the technical information every browser sends, such as your IP address.

- **First-party** technologies are set by the site you visit. **Third-party** technologies are set by another company's service on that site.
- **Session** technologies end when you close the browser. **Persistent** ones stay until they expire or you delete them.

## 3. When we ask for consent

Under Czech law (§ 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., implementing the EU ePrivacy Directive) and the GDPR:

- We may store information in your browser **without consent only when it is strictly necessary** to provide a service you explicitly asked for, or to transmit a communication.
- For everything else, such as analytics or marketing, we need your **prior, freely given, specific and informed consent**, given by a clear action. Silence, scrolling or pre-ticked boxes are not consent. Refusing must be as easy as accepting.
- Consent to cookies is separate from anything else. Registering a business or booking an appointment is **not** consent to analytics or marketing.

## 5. What we use

### 5.1 Emily Booking pages (website, registration, staff app, booking pages)

Booking pages store nothing in your browser.

Fonts on our website are loaded from **Google Fonts**. Your browser connects to Google's servers and sends your IP address. No cookies are set.

### 5.2 Website hosted on HubSpot

Our website, and the websites of many businesses that use Emily Booking, are hosted on HubSpot. Depending on which HubSpot features are switched on, HubSpot may set the following:

### 5.3 Links to other services

Links to Instagram, WhatsApp, Google or other sites set no cookies on our pages. Once you follow them, the other site's own policy applies.

## 6. How to accept, refuse or change your choice

- When analytics is switched on, a banner appears on your first visit, with **Accept**, **Reject** and **Settings**.
- You can change your choice at any time with **Cookie settings** in the footer.
- Withdrawing consent applies from that moment on. Analytics cookies already stored stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them, but we stop using them.
- Clearing your browser data, using private browsing or switching devices may show the banner again.

## 7. Browser controls

Every browser lets you see, delete and block cookies and site data, and limit cross-site tracking. See your browser's help pages:

If you block all storage, the language choice is forgotten, and the staff app cannot keep you signed in.

## 8. Sharing, transfers, retention and security

Cookie and analytics data are handled by the providers named above, under data processing agreements. Transfers outside the EU, retention and security are described in our [Privacy Policy](https://emilybooking.cz/privacy-policy?hsLang=en). We never sell cookie data.

## 9. Reviews and changes

We review this policy and the technologies on our pages after every significant change to the website, hosting or analytics, and at least once a year. If we change it materially, we may ask for your consent again.
